Utah Top Performing State for Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project (MBQIP)

The Office of Primary Care and Rural Health is excited to announce that Utah has made the FLEX Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project’s top ranked state for 2022. The purpose of the award is to recognize Utah’s efforts in supporting quality of care efforts for hospitals providing care to rural patients, and to recognize individuals who demonstrate the MBQIP spirit through their work.

We would like to congratulate Mason Payne, the Office of Primary Care and Rural Health, Health Program Specialist III for the MBQIP Performance Award!

Every year, the FLEX Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project recognizes top performing states who achieved the highest reporting rates and levels of improvement in CAHs over the past 12 months. In 2020, the top ranked states on quality reporting and performance were the following:

  4. West Virginia
  5. Nebraska
  6. Maine
  7. Pennsylvania
  8. Michigan
  9. New Hampshire
  10. Virginia
