Exodus Healthcare Network

In 2016 the Utah Department of Health, Office of Primary Care & Rural Health chose Exodus Healthcare Network to be a clinic site for their Health Care Workforce Financial Assistance Program. Exodus Healthcare is located in Magna and West Valley, areas that present with multiple health indicators that present concern for those communities.

Prior to being identified and accepted as a site for Health Care Workforce Financial Assistance, we had little to no leverage in recruiting doctors, physician assistants and nurse practitioners to our area. The development of this program to help healthcare providers with the challenge of their educational financial strain has provided assistance where it is needed. This program has given Exodus Healthcare the aid and ability needed to recruit high quality healthcare providers to a community that might otherwise be overlooked. The Health Care Workforce Financial Assistance Program is vital to our recruitment process and essential in helping us recruit the quality healthcare providers we know this community deserves.

Our very own Yogesh Patel, PA-C, was a 2017 recipient of a financial award from this program. The potential of receiving this funding assistance was key in his recruitment. Yogesh is extremely grateful for having been chosen to receive this financial award and states, “Your generosity truly makes an indirect impact to the people that matters most, the patients in need.”
