Utah Top 10 Performing State for Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project (MBQIP)

The Office of Primary Care and Rural Health is excited to announce that Utah has made the FLEX Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project’s top 10 ranked states for 2020. The purpose of the award is to recognize Utah’s efforts in supporting quality of care efforts for hospitals providing care to rural patients, and to recognize individuals who demonstrate the MBQIP spirit through their work.

Every year, the FLEX Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project recognizes the 10 top performing states who achieved the highest reporting rates and levels of improvement in CAHs over the past 12 months. In 2020, the top 10 ranked states on quality reporting and performance were the following:

  1. Virginia
  2. South Carolina
  3. Wisconsin
  4. Idaho
  5. Michigan
  6. Georgia
  7. Nebraska
  8. Massachusetts
  9. Illinois
  10. Utah
